Northeast Texas Rescue Organization, NETRO for short, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that is dedicated to helping the homeless, neglected, and abandoned animals of Northeast Texas. Our program consists of entirely of volunteers that help in a variety of ways. Some help at the shelter, carry animals to the vet for care, while others foster animals waiting for adoption, and still others help in transporting animals to the safe haven of our rescue partners.
We were established as Titus County Shelter Friends in 2013 by a group of concerned citizens who saw an overwhelming need for improvements at the Mt Pleasant Texas Animal Shelter. The number of animals being euthanized in our local municipal shelter was completely unacceptable. Since 2013, our organization has helped hundreds of companion animals and given them a second chance at life.
Make a Donation
NETRO is a volunteer-powered non-profit organization. Every donation that we receive goes directly back to helping the animals we save. We can not save as many animals as we do without your support and donations. We accept all kinds of donations including supplies for the animals.
