NETRO – Rescuing Love in Northeast Texas 🐾

Northeast Texas Rescue Organization (NETRO) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue dedicated to saving homeless, neglected, and abandoned animals across Northeast Texas.

Founded in 2013 as Titus County Shelter Friends, our organization was created by concerned citizens who saw an urgent need to reduce the high euthanasia rates at the Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter. What began as a local effort has grown into a regional rescue network working to save as many lives as possible.

Today, NETRO is entirely volunteer-driven, with passionate individuals who:

  • Rescue animals from shelters and dangerous situations
  • Provide foster homes until adoption
  • Transport animals to veterinary care and rescue partners
  • Connect rescued pets with loving forever homes

Since our founding, hundreds of companion animals have been given a second chance at life through rescue, care, and adoption.

Working together with our volunteers, fosters, community partners, and supporters, NETRO continues its mission to save lives, support local shelters, and create a brighter future for animals in Northeast Texas.
